Stop water leak around rear boot lid
Discussion
i've an issue on my Golf where the water is leading through the rear roof lining into the main car.
It's been suggested that I try sealing the rubber covers (where the wiper wires go through from the car to to lid)) with silicone.
What product should I use -is it the same as Tigerseal? any other recommendations?

My daughter’s MK6 Golf had a leak into the boot after crash repairs to the offside rear quarter. The body shop took it back a few times but never got to the bottom if it.
I pulled back the flexible connectors which carry the wiring and washer tubes, cleaned them and the area they fit to really well then lubed them up with silicone grease (not mastic) and refitted. I also removed and refitted the perimeter boot seal as that didn’t seem to be fully home - was that disturbed for the dash cam wiring?
Not sure whether it was the boot seal or the flexible connectors, but either way it’s been bone dry during the recent heavy rains.
