2 post lift space

Hi all, first post so don't flame too hard.

I've recently acquired a unit to play around in and am wanting to install a 2 post lift but would like a general concensus on the width I need to install a lift and work around a vehicle.

I did already have a mooch about looking for an answer but couldn't find much.

I’ve put one in my large double garage. One post is right up against the wall on one side, I did discs/ pads on the 996 at the weekend without fuss. Ok that’s a narrow car so the arms are in a fair bit.

Not has anything wider than my accord on it, but would still be plenty of room to do work on that.

It’s overall width is 3600mm base plate to base plate. There are loads of narrow/ different options out there though.
