DRL's stopped working?

Hello, I have a 2005 SAAB 9-3 Aero and not too long ago 3 of the 4 Day Time Running Lights decided to stop working. Thinking it was the bulbs wanting replacing I replaced them with the same albiet a different colour set of bulbs, but no joy. Just the same single bulb coming on. I had a look at fuses 16 and 26 and they seemed okay. I swapped the fuses around with the same result so no joy again. Battery is all good and the fuse box has been kept bone dry.

I'm no electrician or mechanic so I know sweet fkall, what could be the cause?

Possibly a wiring fault such as a bad earth. Since you have access to the bulb holders, it should be easy to check whether you have 12V on one terminal and a good ground on the other.

If you do, you know the bulb is bad. If you don't, then whichever you're missing is the one you are looking for.
