Hi,
I have a Mk2 Clio 1.2 16V D4F and have driven home through flood water. Initially after driving through the water my car seemed fine and got me home without fault. However, I then restarted the car when I got home and the electrical fault light is on and when I press the throttle pedal nothing happens at all. What could this be? I suspect throttle body/throttle position sensor or the wiring that’s damaged.

I suspect that something electrical has got wet that shouldn't. If you're very lucky, it'll start working again once everything dries out.

Luckily it has dried out and is working fine! Thought it was going to lead to an expensive bill.

it could still if there is water ingress into electrical items, it could fail completely in not too long.

Take it somewhere with good experience of them to get it checked out.

If you are lucky there will be a "dealer level" fault code stored to help out.

Forget it & you will likely regret it.
