Sounds like more than one issue, the clutch being one, then either the battery or the alternator. Both common issues, its this time of year when batteries start to die. You need to call out your breakdown company or book it in with a garage.

The battery was replaced in 2014. Do you think its worth the cost to fix or is it a scrapper:/

Get it looked at before thinking about scrapping.

Could be your 5yo battery is dead and clutch might be a simple fix.

I know some Renault vans have a large inline fuse that can be blown if cranked over in gear, could be something similar.

I knew the clutch was abit high it was meant be getting done next friday but would that going have caused all the electrics to fail?

You have likely blown the battery master fuse by cranking on an engaged clutch. Simple job to replace and costs £9 for the part.

Sounds like something in the clutch actuation side of things has gone, meaning the clutch won't disengage.

As such, starting it while in gear has meant the starter has been trying to move the car, and the increased load from this has killed something in the electrics.

As the poster above says, hopefully just a big fuse.

You will need to find out what's gone wrong electrically, and then also fix what ever has gone wrong between clutch pedal and clutch.

Good advice there, don't scrap it just yet.
