Radiator Fan(s) NOT working - 2008 Audi A3 2.0TFSI DSG
Discussion
Good evening to all,
Newly signed up after navigating the web trying to resolve my issue with no luck but constantly finding piston heads pop up and once a user many years ago for buying and selling I thought I'd give it a go and see if anyone can share some light...
2008 AUDI A3 2.0TFSI SLINE STRONIC SPECIAL EDITION. (ND08LSN) ONLY 76K
The problem started when I noticed the "LOW COOLANT" light so when I pulled over noticed the fans weren't cutting in but also noticed what seemed like oil in the coolant and coolant escaping via the expansion tank.
Its not overheating so I instantly replace the coolant temperature sensor and oil cooler and still no luck.
Bit of research found there's a radiator fan switch but unsure where on my car it is and my car under the bonnet has the 30fuse board and unable to find the fuse for the cooling fans or is it a strip fuse?
Anyone suggest steps I take or know this engine or car..? Its the CAWB engine.
If anyone is within 20 miles I'd be keen to drive if someone's able to source the issue? Ovbiously a drink will be in hand.
Thanks Danny, East Sussex.

Those symptoms suggest head gasket failure. You could do a block test and cooling system pressure test to confirm.A less scary cause would be an oil / water heat exchanger leak, but you mention replacing an oil cooler which seems to rule that out.
