My other half has a DS3 and the DPF keeps flashing its ugly little head. It beep at completely random times. We have taken it to the garage to get it reGened and its still going on.

The thinking is now is that its a faulty sensor. I can buy a new sensor easy enough. For the life of me I cannot anything on where it lives or how to swap it out.

I hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Does it have eolys system? Alot of Citroën and Peugeot cars have a fluid that needs replaced to keep the dpf from coking up. It works incredibly well and few PSA cars have blocked dpfs even with short journeys only. But it does need replaced eventually, especially if you are doing short journeys as it will use more to maintain the dpf.

Just to add I'm not talking about adblue.

Some of the newer psa cars have adblue and eloys, let the garage replace the sensor, there are usually more than one and it needs to be connected up to live diagnostics so you can monitor the regen while out on a road test.

Most likely the eolys fluid. Easy to refill but the fluid is pretty expensive. It's under the car and to refill needs the reservoir removing to refill it.

If you can refill it then its around £40 per litre, if it has the pouch then its around £160, Diagnostics might show if its empty, sometime you need to tell it the tank is full, sometimes it works it out itself.

It usually puts a warning of devolution fault or fluid low if it’s the eloys fluid.
