What year is it?

On the mark 6 2002-2009 shape EAC fault can mean lots of didfeeent things it’s not a very specific fault, could be anything between the throttle pedal and the ecu.

You need to get the fault code read, clear them all out and start it again then read the codes again.

Cheapest thing to change is the pedal.

Last time I had this fault on a Fiesta tried lots of things nothing worked until we sent the Ecu off to ecu testing to get repaired for £220 plus vat and that fixed it.

Cheapest thing first is check the connector at the throttle pedal and try it.

Suspect bad key/keys or sensor ring around the barrel

Doubt speedo fault codes have anything to do with the immobiliser

The fact that playing in the area of the barrel got it started does point to keys or sensor

Then again, if you got it running it shouldn't have cut out, built in safety and all that, thing is don't know the car well enough, sorry can't be of more help
