Mitsubishi star dust

Hi I have a 2003 mitsubishi star dust, I'm having an issue with my drivers side passenger door, it will not open from either inside or outside so I cannot get the door card off to have a look what's going on, can any one point me in the right direction of fixing this my self if at all possible befor I take it to a garage.
