Hi, i have contacted Vauxhall to answer this question however due to the current nature of the UK they are not open for questions (quite rightly so)
Myself and the Mrs's have Vauxhall Corsa D's one a 2010 VXR and the other a 2014 (S).
Can i leave these cars in gear with handbrake off and double click the button to set the alarm?
or will this give false positive and trigger the alarm when the wind blows? (to my knowledge the alarms are set on cabin pressure?)

Finaly, my reason for asking is i don't intend to drive these cars for months and do not want any "possible" binding or stretching

TIA smile

Yes, they will be fine.

I do exactly that every time I go to work (2 weeks) and leave it like that for 2 weeks, I have done this in many different cars over the years.

It would have to be extremely windy to roll a car even with the handbrake off. If you chock one of the wheels then the car won't move in any case.

Correct, i meant rocking back and forth not rolling, i cant get it to roll in 1st no matter how hard i push biggrin

However, my carport is like a wind tunnel (open both ends) and although i cant move the car i can rock the car with little effort, i was not sure if any physical movement could cause a reaction smile

Good idea with the wheel chocks though,

Thank you both for the advice smile
