My Audi TT has been sulking in the company car park for the last 3 months, untouched due to a combination of lockdown and my Tesla arriving.... wink

Battery will be totally flat, just wondering which the best course of action is to try and end up without having to replace the battery.

Jump start and moving it a short distance to where it can be plugged into a ctek charger and gently revived, or jump start then drive it 40 mile home?

Don’t worry I will not be jumping it from the Tesla!

Take the battery out, charge it at home and hope it survives. 3 months isnt that long so I wouldnt be worried unless it was already pretty much done.

Many thanks. wink

Better still, take the battery out and charge it at work.

On the subject of car batteries, does anyone have any experience of buying one online via ebay?
Euro Car Parts quote £133 for a Varta example for my car. The identical item is £65 on ebay, free delivery in 2-3 days, lifetime warranty.

I’ve bought several batteries online, have found good prices and had good service from Alpha Batteries and Tayna Batteries. As other posters have said I’d try charging yours at work first though.

Do you know for sure it will be flat? Ive left cars for longer than 3 months and theyve started just fine. Personally if it isnt able to start the car, id jump start it and then drive it home.

Then if it starts developing problems down the line, then id consider a new battery. But just because a car needs a jump start doesnt automatically mean you need a new battery.

If it doesn't start the car replace it before going any further, simple option.
