Does such a thing exist? In some ways it does rather defeat the object but it would suit me.
I prefer the idea of a 4 post than a scissor but with most of the posts being 2m+ that doesn't fit where I want it without altering things.
Strongarm do short and narrow lifts but no low ones.
Alternatively a smaller, drive on scissor. I've seen one in a garage I use and it would be ideal but it's huge and no doubt quite expensive!
Anyone seen such things or is it a wild goose chase?
Thanks

I’m in a similar predicament, I know it’s only a 2-post but this is one of the lowest lifts I’ve found so far.

Have a look at it call twin Busch. German based but has a uk warehouse. The quality of my two poster is excellent. They have a few different solutions for the market, you may find a low height 4 poster from them

2m seems to be the lowest post height I've found and that's going to mean new garage doors at least. 2 posts give me the willys but I accept the trade prefers them and actually moving the posts back that much would help but I'd need a couple of cubes of decent concrete to attach one to.
Worth reconsidering.
Ideally I need to get a structural engineer to suggest how to replace/modify the roof trusses to give more internal height. They are basic back to back triangles.
Ideally without taking the roof off. I don't want much! But the house (and therefore garage0 is listed so it's not quite as straightforward.
I'll look at the other suggestions too.
Thanks

I bought my scissor lift from Strongman last year. Not quite as practical as a two post but I still managed to replace an exhaust system on it. Everything else it’s ideal for. Feels well made and secure with a car on it.

I've got one of these and its great for your average sized car. Its very sturdy and the posts are heavy. I have a 4 car garage and drilled mounting holes in several places so I could mount it in various locations in my garage. When I'm not using it, I store it against the walls and its very compact. I think my garage floor was just enough to mount it. I have the US market version under the trade name Max Jax. Several YouTube videos on it.
