Rattle when idle

Hi recently I’ve been hearing a rattling noise when the cars at idle. The noise goes and cars completely silent as soon as the accelerator is pressed and drives perfectly with no issues. Initially thought it could be a timing chain problem but that’s running fine. Anyone have any idea what it could be thanks. Cars a mk6 golf 1.4 manual

Need to have a good listen around to where its originating from, could be a number of things but exhaust or heat shield rattle most common

Sure a chain problem would continue to rattle with a bit of gas applied ?
