Folding mirror constantly Folding fix?

I have a 2007 Ford fiesta mk6. When I lock the car the driver side mirror just fold over and over for 5 seconds then it stops. Any way to fix it?

Buy a Toyota? They just, like, work...? Even after 13 years.

You need to see why it is not folding. If the motor works but the mirror is not moving then you will need to get inside to see what has gone wrong with the mechanism.

Even if you find what is wrong you may not be able to fix it (e.g. teeth stripped off plastic cogs), so you may end up buying another mirror (new or used) or just ignore it and do without a folding mirror.

ive had similar on a l322 range rover, if its folding and unfolding or folding and still attempting to fold its usually the micro switch in the mirror housing that should make when the mirror folds. its probably slipped or needs the arm bending slightly
