hi. I have a Z4 Alpina 2004 and cannot locate the locking wheel nut key. I tried LWNK site but they said it is an aftermarket one so cannot help. Anyone recognise this bolt style? the picture is not clear and from one of the pix, it looks like there is a black collar around the stud. however, the stud is normal length (maybe 1 inch) which i hope you can make out from the second picture. thanks

Beat a multi point socket over it (21 or 22mm I think for that type of lock nut) and it should come undone easily.

If it does not fit, then shave the start of the socket splines to get you some purchase.

Any decent tyre bay will be able to remove them, then fit standard bolts. Locking wheel bolts are nothing but grief. The low life don’t bother with wheels any more.

bought this from Amazon
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PPF5NNS/ref=cm_sw_r...

I ended up buying a 3/8 inch wrench too as mine didn't fit. Took about 5 mins to take them all off.

Will buy McGard replacements now. Thanks for the replies

cheers

They arent original BMW locking nuts, as they are like a fine spline look. At least they are now out smile
