Hi all

Has anyone upgraded headlight bulbs &/or other bulbs to LED, suffered radio interference & subsequently fitted ferrite chokes to alleviate it with success? Headlight bulbs are ok but just changed reversing bulbs & get interference & see contrasting reviews to whether they work or not.

I recently fitted a led strip in my shed and the radio then got interference.

I bought a bunch of ferite chokes and put them on various cables, it made it a bit better as did rerouting a few cables.

Best improvement was moving the radio to the over side of the shed away from the LED strip.

What have you gained by changing reverse lights (21w) to LED? Is it not just simpler and easier to keep in existing bulb(s) ?

from experience, the more you add to and/or change original wiring and electrics, the more problems that occur down the line.

This, reverse isn't used enough to warrant the work involved in attempting a fix

I'll find out the next time I have to reverse up to my in-laws house after dark up a windy slope past hedges, fences & a brick wall. Funnily enough, the rest of the rear light cluster is LED as standard, just NOT the reverse bulbs. Its obviously only a short time the reverse lights are on but also want/thinking of changing the fogs & full beams to LED.
