Oil recommended for Kia venga

Can’t believe I’m asking as stuff like this usually never confuses me, but there you go

Looking to do an oil change on a friends car who is down on their luck etc

The car is a 12 plate
Kia venga 3
1.6 petrol
en12 wwz

Now all the oil selector places say some random variant of 5w30

Says 5w30 ACEA A3 / A5

Guessing fully synthetic

Ideally I want to get it from eurocar parts for cost convenience and I have a massive credit note from their previous feckup

When I plumb the reg in it gives 0/40 recommendations that are all very expensive and gut feeling tells me wrong.

Can anyone be kind and tell me which I need

I suspect I’m over thinking this, but I like to get things right especially when helping my down on luck friend.

Car is around 90k but in fine running order


TLDR what 5w30 oil do I need for en12 wwz From euro car parts

Tried halfords and got 5w30 and 0w40 results.

Tried 'Opie Oils' and just 5w30 as below:-

Any oil that meets the specified parameters will be fine.

Opie oils are great,drop them a call or email and they will make recommendations,often over and above what is on the website, I suspect the website uses a stock database of some kind where the people who work their can add experience and knowledge too

I don't think that it's the type of car that's going to get ragged tbh, so just get whatever matches the spec. It won't hurt if it's not Mobil 1!

As luck would have it I had a eBay 20% off voucher

So I’ve gone for mannol! I’m working on the assumption that it’s better than not changing it and if it meets the spec required by the manufacturer it must be good enough.

Will probably do it 6 monthly at this cost £12 after 20 % discount
