Hey! So I believe I need a new ABS module for the ST150 mk6, I can pick one up fairly cheaply, but will I need to get someone to get the ECU to play ball with the new module, or can I just swap it out?

For starters if it’s like most modern cars I’m not sure how you’ll be able to even bleed it without hooking up to the diagnostics and running the ABS bleed programme.

That aside you could get the old one repaired?

If you make sure you get one with exactly the same numbers on it you shouldn't need to code it, just plug and play.

I’ve managed to find some modules with the same serial/part number highlighted in green, but none that match the red one too. Do both of these numbers need to match my current one? I’m currently thinking I’ll need to send mine off to be refurbished, at considerable cost.

IIRC yes both numbers need to match for code free fitting.

Thank you. I’ve found a unit that suggests it’s plug in and play irrespective of original numbers, will update accordingly
