Headlight clasp/locking mechanism replacement - Mazda 2

While changing the headlight bulb on Mrs roadsmash’s car (Mazda 2) yesterday I managed to snap the little clasp thing that holds the bulb in place. The exact one is pictured below.



Turns out universal ones are sold on eBay but the Mazda 2 one is seemingly unique.

In the picture, the bit of the clasp that goes over the bottom side of the bulb is quite short and just sits over the plastic, but the bit that goes over the top side of the bulb is quite long and hooks behind the little plate you can see to the left of the bulb.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction to find a replacement for this design? I’d rather not approach the dealer as they’ll probably charge me 3 figures for it!

Breaker's yard, or bend up your own replacement from a piece of piano wire?

Still had no luck with this.

Can’t manage to make my own as the fitment is very precise.

Have you contacted a Mazda dealer to see if you can purchase a new clip ?
