Hi,

I've got a Porsche Cayman R with the switchable Sports Exhaust.

The actuator valve mount at the back box entry pipe is slightly lose (the bracket where it attaches to the exhaust pipe). See photo taken from back of the car between the rear bumper gaps. The mount is allowing the whole assembly to flex up and down a little bit causing a rattle at idle. It's not attached being bolts that might have come lose BTW

I don't think it's a hard fix and doesn't need a Porsche specialist as no exotic materials (my nearest one is 1.5 hrs away).

I'd assumed a spot weld would do it. I took it into one of the better exhaust places in our area and he did mention that some form of high temp Adhesive might be safer than trying to weld it.

He didn't have specific products...anyone used that type of thing before - where can I source it?

Exhaust. Vibration. Glue? Hmm not sure about that. Surely welding is the way to go.

Yeah, I'll get another opinion. I think he was just scared to work on a Porsche. It's not like there's some exotic materials there !!

Wonder if he's worried about frying electrics when welding?
