Online car parts... lottery?
Discussion
I am after a full set of rear control arms for my car and have been looking on www.onlinecarparts.com. You know the old adage "if it looks too good to be true...."?
Take this part....
https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/lemforder-7643644...
Now, that is significantly cheaper than what it would be from VW. Lemforder are basically OE quality if not sometimes the manufacturer for OE.
So what is the rub? Am I going to end up with a brick in a box and have to argue the toss for months to get my money back?
The job in essence is to replace all the rear bushes but buying the whole control arms with bushes installed is obviously a much easier job for me and replaces the old corroded parts at the same time.
Anyone used these people with success on a regular basis?
Thanks
Rich

Try Parts in motion, good service and sensible prices. Not sure if these are the right parts but they look the same (ish)

Both onlinecarparts.co.uk and buycarparts.co.uk are based in Berlin & stuff is shipped over from Germany
(Not realising that) I used buycarparts.co.uk for some coil packs for a BMW 1 series a few months ago.
They arrived OK......eventually.
(i.e. don't assume that its a UK based company just because its got a .co.uk URL)

A lot of those European ones send other parts I’ve heard. From when I was looking for parts similar to yourself. They advertise the world then substitute a unbranded version. Then for you to try and send it back / get refund is impossible. So I didn’t risk it as it would be a real pisser

That’s true. No address given in website so I presume they are over seas too. Hmmm...
