Cold start issue
Discussion
Hey all.
I've got a diesel Corsa D (2014) that's just had the EGR valve replaced. Ever since, it seems to be having trouble starting from cold, but if its had a good run for 10-15 minutes, it turns over and starts absolutely fine.
I'm thinking that it could be a coincidence that this has started just after an EGR replacement, but maybe it isn't.
I haven't had exceptionally long runs in the car as of late, and it has just been sitting outside with the odd occasional short journey.
I'm thinking it could be the battery? What are your thoughts?

I had a Clio like that
When starting sometimes the dials would go crackers and the clock would lose its setting. Because it cranked ok and didn't happen every time I at first assumed it was more serious but changed the battery and away all the problems went.
Then got some axle tramp and snapped the gearbox mount off the box, but at least it started.

It's a long time since I've worked on one of these but if I think the fuel filter has to be disturbed to do the egr valve?
If that's the case, I'd be looking for a problem with the filer seal causing air to get into the fuel system when the car is left standing.
The fuel filter is the opposite side of where the EGR is located. Fuel filter is located on the left side of the engine and the EGR value is underneath the throttle body on the right hand side of the engine (looking directly into the engine bay). This was replaced some time ago by myself and has been fine ever since, so I don't think it could be the fuel filter... but who knows! If that's the case, I'd be looking for a problem with the filer seal causing air to get into the fuel system when the car is left standing.
