EGR fault and MOT

My 12plate Golf has finally produced the flashing coil light


Is it an Mot failure to present a euro 5 car with an EGR fault? Will it fail emissions with a closed EGR fault?

Car runs fine but EGR fault has shown up very close to mot due date, was hoping for warmer days to get this done.

Management fault light present used to be an advisory, now its a fail.
