Carparts4less / euro car parts iffy practice
Discussion
Ordered
Thread lock
Tow hitch cover
Oil filter
2 osram ultra life headlight bulbs
Received all of the above but not the ultra life bulbs, they sent two random indicator bulbs worth 30p
Tried a few times on the phone for 30 - 60 mins
Emailed them, online contacted them, nothing
I paid via PayPal so raised a case
Naturally they string it out as long as possible, meeting their deadlines by minutes
But of back and forth, them basically ignoring the problem etc
Only option now is for me to return the full shipment (at my cost) for a full refund. Seems unfair that their mistake should cost me postage, which no doubt they would say items damaged missing etc
This is no good as all the items apart from the wrong bulbs are in use
I’m only down a tenner, plus their postage, but the whole thing stinks
Trying to talk to anyone is a waste of time. Please advise if you’ve had any luck
Cheers

It's actually very simple.
Email them asking for a Returns Authorisation, they'll arrange a suitable date for collection and then your stuff will be collected.
When they get it back they'll refund you within a couple of days.
Interesting, it’s a shame they don’t respond to,other forms of comms and play silly sods when going through pay palEmail them asking for a Returns Authorisation, they'll arrange a suitable date for collection and then your stuff will be collected.

Will you suggestion work for a single item
They’ve strung this out since December, so wonder if my return window has passed
Where is the "iffy practice"? They made a mistake with part of an order.
We are in the middle of a pandemic, you dont know what their staffing situation is like. Yet you think there is something "iffy" going on.
But hey of course they deliberately sent you 2 bulbs that are nothing like you ordered on the assumption you wouldn't notice the difference. Yep that really would be iffy.

They (via paypal) are only offering one solution, a full refund if I return everything in the order at MY costWe are in the middle of a pandemic, you dont know what their staffing situation is like. Yet you think there is something "iffy" going on.

I can’t return everything as most of it’s been fitted
I just want the bulbs I paid for by returning the bulbs I did t pay for
Been dealing with carparts4less for the past two weeks, they are utter utter s@@t. Ordered a brake calliper two weeks ago, it hadn’t arrived after a week so I chased and was told it has been cancelled. No notification email etc. Ordered again and paid for next day. Again it didn’t arrive so I chased them and the order was cancelled. Again no notification email to let me know etc. Told them to order it and send me PayPal request, the request came through for more money than I’d paid on my initial order. They’ve still not responded to me. Car is sat off the road waiting for the Caliper, I would not use them again.
I tend to buy from Euro Car Parts because if anything is wrong (I've personally never had any issues) you can return stuff to a store. Car Parts 4 Less are the same people, but no stores and they probably won't accept returns from CP4L at ECP stores, although I've never tested this. CP4L are usually a little cheaper and tend to deliver quicker though. Either way...thank God for them both. They deliver a fantastic service. This thread is very unfair IMO and the title should be changed as it's obviously a one off.
Their stupid DFS style 'sales' are stupid though.

I bought a duff battery from CP4L and returned it to EP. No problem. I rang my local EP firstThey are dreadful!
I needed a new AC condenser for Mrs DSs car, wanted an EIS.
ECP said no stock. Carparts said stock available - I didn’t know they were the same company.
I had arranged and paid for next day delivery, allowed a week for delivery and fitting and had an AC guy booked (he was very busy too last May) to pressure test and fill it.
So of course it didn’t arrive - couldn’t get hold of them, couldn’t cancel. The worst. I ended up having to buy another one.
And a few days after I’d got it fitted the CP4L condenser turned up as I’d been unable to cancel. Took an age to get it sent back, complaints to PayPal, wasted hours on phone (never got through).
Never ever again.

I may be lucky in that I have an ECP branch only a ten minute walk away. Never had a problem returning anything.
I did go and buy the bulbs they didn’t send from a physical branch as I needed them. Got stung a few years back on the wrong screen wash sent and of course they wanted me to pay for return postage.Should have learnt last time
I appreciate mistakes are made etc, but it’s just the lack of comms / charging me to return their mistake
I’ve asked for a return number like a previous posted said, will see why happens

Large numbers of staff have been furloughed and also many staff are working remotely so yes certain departments have been badly effected.p4cks said:

If only it was that simple! I'd ordered a brake caliper, they arranged collection of the old one so I could get my £23 surcharge back. This was October last year, I chased them weekly but the money never arrived. Finally had enough last week and threatened them with legal action if the money wasn't in my account within a week. Only then did the money turn up. Thats 3 months ffs. Email them asking for a Returns Authorisation, they'll arrange a suitable date for collection and then your stuff will be collected.
