Replacement car battery?
Discussion
I fully expect a slagging for this. Member of a car forum and don't know how to source a replacement battery but its the first time i've had to do this (however slag away...)
The battery that came out the car is a DriveTec Heavy Duty DM 012 battery.
However when I put my details into car part websites the results come back saying its a 063 battery I need (europarts and RAC).
Is there a difference? What should I go for? Does it matter if its less or above 400A or if the Ah is different?
The car in question is Toyota Yaris VVTI COLOUR COLLECTION (2005)
Its a free car given to me as a wee run-around so the cheaper the better.

I've used them for the last few years and website, service & prices are great.
I ordered 1 for a family member at 3pm the other day - dispatched that evening and arrived the next day. About £15 cheaper than my cheapest motor factor.
Personally I agree with the Exide/Varta/Bosch thinking, perhaps add Yuasa into that list. My last Bosch lasted 16 years.
note: occasionally Tayna have batteries on ebay for £5 less overall (having factored in delivery).

Measure the physical dimensions of the battery coming out and check it against the new one you are going to buy (sometimes the online systems get it wrong).
Tayna is a good place to buy from.
I don't have it - gave it away to get a family member going but did take a picture of it which which is how i know the part number.Tayna is a good place to buy from.
063 Yuasa ordered. Now to Youtube how to fit the thing

Thanks for your input all.

Check that an 063 will physically fit in your car.
I replaced a Mercedes battery recently and the battery Tayna recommended was a lot larger then the one in the car and would not have fitted.

207L x 175W x 175H
Connectors line up on the 063 too
