I’m rebuilding the tie rod ends on my 1957 Lamborghini tractor. The internals are in amazingly good condition considering they’re 64 years old and were packed with special Italian Farmers’ grease which is 85% mud.

I’m interested to know who the manufacturer was. I have tried Google but no luck.

The logo on the tie rod ends has two C’s and a key (or possibly two G’s and a key). I have put a photo below.

Lamborghini used some German and British parts on parts on their early tractors so the manufacturer may not be Italian.

Can anybody identify it?

Thanks,

TSS

No clue, but the key logo might suggest the manufacturer was involved in lock production previously, which could make sense if that's a cast brass part. So perhaps it's a foundry you're looking for.

Probably a Lamborghini part and the CC with the key will be the foundry mark where they were cast.

The parts look forged, not cast. Maybe talk to these people https://www.automarketexperts.eu/data/uploads/file...
Frap was around manufacturing steering/suspension links for tractors from 1932, and at some point they supplied to Lamborghini.

Thanks for the replies everybody.

I think 1141 is the part number. Almost every major part on the tractor has a number stamped or cast into it. I have a copy of the Lamborghini parts diagrams manual but it doesn’t bother listing the part numbers rolleyes

The C’s and the key could well be the foundry – good idea GreenV8S and IJWS15

Thanks Bodo, I’ll email Frap. You never know!
