Westwood T1400 Ride on Mower.

Hi Everyone, Assistance needed.
I have the above mower, the evil machine will start on the key with a good squirt of Easy Start, however it appears that once the vapours have been used engine dies away. There is fresh fuel in the system. Any friendly advice or assistance will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

When did it last have plugs/coil?

I'd start with a compression test and clean the plugs up see if it improves.

If it starts with a squirt of easy start, I think plug and coil working OK.

Sounds carburettor related ?

If it starts when you give it some fuel manually then the plug/s is/are fine & there is compression & the engine is mechanically sound, but the fuel isn't getting through.

Start by checking fuel to the carb by pulling off the hose, then you will need to get deeper into it, if that is good.
