I've a 6ft tall double Halford professional roller cabinet and top box. Can't go wrong for the money, especially with their sales and a Trade Card. Plenty room for everything I've amassed over the years plus I've a few if their modular trays which are great.

But then it won't go in the back of the car so I've also got a few DeWalt carry cases that have my drill and impact drivers and i just put whatever tools I need in a carry box depending on what the job necessitates. Upside is they're all T-Stak so can lock together to save carrying several boxes.

Also have a Stanley Fat Max tool box with several compartments on top which is great for on the move / running repairs / keeping spare fixings, bulbs, fuses etc in plus tools below and then chuck it in the car.

Really depends on your needs, budget and OCD levels...

How portable do you need it to be?

I prefer tools mounted on a board on the wall or above the bench

For the DIY Halfords, Sealey and Draper. For professionals Snap-On, Mac and Facom
They all do a wide range of tool cabinets.

I like the look of those DeWalt cases. Thanks for the tip!
DeWalt also do a trolley which the stack of cases lock into, really useful.
