Thinking of going a bit more tech with the Webers.
For the last 50 years I've balanced 2x40s or 2xSUs using my ear and a piece of tubing.
What's the best sensibly priced balancing kit please.
Cheers

I have balanced, twin, triple and quad carb set up's for a long time as well and your ear is best! If you buy a balancer it will just help confirm what you already know smile
I must admit on quad downdraughts I use motorcycle vac balancers that tap into the intake so you can see the vac on all the cylinders at once and the needles will show valve issues (flutter and bounce) but twins you can get spot on with yer lug 'oles biggrin

For SU's and Strombergs I have one of these and it works well. You can buy different adapters for them (see the Related Items in the link). The link is for a US based supplier, but I am sure you can find these in the UK.

https://www.carburetion.com/Products/ProductDetail... (approx 30GBP)

Then for the Dellortos on my Lotus Esprit I have this set up.

I have only dome SU's or Stromberg's, and not for a years now. I always found the ear by far the best way, i used a stethoscope. tried many other gadgets over the years and they only ever really confirmed what i already knew from listening. The guy who set up my mini on the rollers many years ago told me to use a stethoscope, as he had used one for years.

I like that, want to buy a car with twin carbs now so I play with some tube and bottles. Or maybe triple carbs would be more fun smile

The synchoniser I can kind of understand but the Cartune one, do you need to screw in some adapters somewhere?

Yes. There are vacuum ports on the carbs that you screw adapters (supplied in the kit I think) into and connect the tubes to. A YouTube search has examples of how it works.
