Steering once engine removed Disco 200tdi
Discussion
Hi all.
Apologies if a dopey question (it is). Just need to be sure or I'll look a tit!
I will drive down my small lane and small driveway in a Disco 200tdi to pull the engine out. The rest, gearbox etc. will all be left in it. At this point, it will need to be trailered away, however, a trailer won't fit down my lane. I'll need to use my 90 to tow the shell to the end of my lane to be winched onto the trailer. Whilst being towed by my 90, it is very, very important that it can still be steered. I presume with a solid front axle, that this will still work fine once the engine is removed, but can someone please reassure me/tell me I'm wrong/ give me precautions please?!
Many thanks in advance.

You'll have no probs towing it, steering may feel heavy with the being no power assistance, but as
the will be no engine weight in it you may not notice, just watch the brakes as pedal will be hard
with no servo assistance.
Thought as much, though thought I'd look a moron if I ended up with a Landy shell I couldn't move on my drive! the will be no engine weight in it you may not notice, just watch the brakes as pedal will be hard
with no servo assistance.
Thanks for the reassurance!
