Nylon Powder Coat Removal - Roof Rack
Discussion
Hi all,
I have a Genuine Land Rover G4/Adventure Roof rack and ladder that is coated in what appears to be a Nylon power coat from factory. Water has got underneath in places and rusted the rack & blown the coating; but for the most part, the coating is still consistent.
Dropped the rack off at the local powder coaters to be redone; whom have let me know that they can’t remove the current nylon coating with it being plastic.
Chemicals such as thinners/nitomors don’t touch it, nor does grinder/scraping or heat. Is there a particular method or chemical that can be used to strip the nylon powder coat?
Cheers,
Lund
