Hi I have a sunroof leak in my old 4x4. Sunroof looks solid.

Is it just a case of replacing the gaskets etc. how much of a pain is this job? Anyone done it before?

Usually its the drains that are the problem, either blocked or the pipes have popped off/disintegrated...

The outer seal does let some water through as normal, replacing it may slow the flow down a bit

As the previous poster said, blocked drain tubes. On my old Laguna these drained back to behind the wheel arches and when I pulled back the liners they were full of mud.

I cleaned all this out and then used a net curtain rod to clear the drain tubes and flushed them out with warm water.

This is probably where you find the part where the drain tubes connect to the roof have rusted away.......

Process will be very model specific, so best bet is owners forums or marque specific. Usually drains as above. Straight forward on some vehicles, not so straight forward on others.

Don't know where you are but I've used the London Sunroof Company a few times to sort leaks/seals/rattles.

It depends on the vehicle. The Disco2 has a diagnostic pattern of leakage depending on where the issue is. So water coming out of the internal light mean the blockage is one place, pouring out of the driver's seatbelt hole another. I found that a bead of silicone around the exterior trim was enough to solve it.
