Alloy tube spacers for engine stand. Strong enough?

I'd like to stick my engine on the engine stand but with the flywheel still fitted.

To do this I'd like to extend the tubes on the 4 engine stand arms by sliding some 31.7mm OD x 3.2mm wall aluminium tubing over them.

Those alloy tubes of that thickness wouldn't get crushed by the weight of the engine would they?

I've ordered some 2mm walled steel tube instead.
