Have a look on the Tayna Batteries site as they offer good prices and service, if you don't want to pick it immediately. Nothing wrong with Yuasa but personally I would go for a Bosch or Varta battery.

ETA: Are you doing enough miles in the car to keep the battery charged?

Sounds like you have a drain on the battery, might be worth getting it checked first.

I've found the easiest way to is grab a tape measure and get your hands a bit dirty. Also make sure the terminals are the correct way round for the one you're buying.

As said above, check you don't have a parasitic drain on it from something. My old Impreza had this problem and it was a real pig to sort out.

Yuasa are one of the best makes out there. I'd choose them over any others, with bosch running a close second. Avoid "Lion" which has some bad reviews.

Whereabouts are you? I just got a new Yuasa from this bunch https://www.shieldbatteries.co.uk because I'm near their head office but it looks like they have places in Leicester, Manchester, Poole, Southend and Yeovil. Plus they fit them for you.

It gets enough use to keep it charged I’d say .it seems to be cold weather that does it in as-well
I just noticed on the 1.9 D version of same car someone had 77amp battery .063 seems to cover 1-1.8L town cars and seems too small .

Diesels normally have a larger capacity as the starter tends to draw more current due to the higher compression. Just go for the highest capacity, largest CCA, that will fit. MK4 R32 uses an 075 fitment, check the dimensions, and see what options that offers.

Another shout for Yuasa here, really good batteries, and as above have always fitted the largest capacity battery i can get in the holder when replacing, be espcially wary of height when measuring up.
