Hi i bought a new car recently, a Citroen C1, there seems to be excessive noise or air getting through either the drivers side window or the door gap when motorway driving. I've had these cars before so i know they can be noisy but this seems excessive and almost sounds like a flapping noise at times. The dealer said they could find nothing wrong with the window or seals so does anyone have any ideas how i could solve this other than by selling the car?lol

Talc on all the seals and the close the door and hose the car off, see where the water is getting in and the air will be getting through there. Could just be a worn out seal or it’s mis-aligned but doesn’t look it.

So you think its a seal around the window? Not door related?

Could be either, can check both using the same method.

Is all the glass/glazing original?

I believe so but how can I find out for sure?

Glass should have the manufacturer marks on it if it is original. Replacements don't usually.

When you say talc on the seals, so I just smear it all over the inside of the door and window around the area where the seals are?
