Buy a Safe Jack RennStand or similar in the UK?
Discussion
Looking for a similar system to the RennStand:

Going to be pretty expensive to import to the UK (once they have stock..) and I wondered if anyone had has come across a similar solution that will be be easier/cheaper to get

Hello. Did you get anywhere with this?
I'd be interested in something similar too, I found this post via Google while searching for lifting style stands like the Rennstand
At one point I thought locking trolley jacks were the answer. However I'm yet to find a locking trolley jack that is safe to use without a stand. I initially thought that was the whole point of 'locking' trolley jacks, safe enough to use without stands, but alas no that doesn't appear to be the case

Not really, I did see a couple of similar chinesium options on the usual far east websites, but I didn't really want a container load, and well, I didn't fancy sticking my head under a car supported by a noname mystery brand.I'd be interested in something similar too, I found this post via Google while searching for lifting style stands like the Rennstand

Might look at a motorbike scissor lift for each corner, but they seem to top out at 500kg each, false I might get some hefty steel box section and make something myself...

Have you seen the "Hydraulic press channel" on YouTube?
They test many items to destruction, in this one, axle stands: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjmXQNhKCks
The stands will support even more than their rated limit.
The upright type are stable, even when failing - the scissor stand is not!
