Hi have just bought another Honda CRV MK2 and only the smaller of the rear seats slides forwards/backwards

Both seats moved on my previous car and this one the lever seems to engage fine but alas no movement, is there a trick or what do I need to do?

Cheers everyone

The instructions are the same as the owners book with the car but alas still can't get the bigger side to move, any other ideas?

The only other fix I know of is a big hammer

Sorry, couldn't resist that

I would reckon you have to be part of the secret lever society to know what to do

I don't know that car, but can you see the rails to confirm it is intended to slide? Otherwise that lever may be for some other purpose.

no doubt the 'Latch' facility on the side that won't budge will be the same on the side that will, so having confirmed to yourself that you've unlatched it, just give it a damn good shove, possibly with the help of an assistant and ensuring you're shoving it somewhere that you're not gonna put your hand through a weak bit of fabric or similar, its probably just stiff from having not been used

Thanks and just for clarity the latch is bar under the seat like every other front seat I've ever adjusted, think I may need a bigger hammer
