Hi All,

Just seeking some general advice.
I recently bought a waterpump (to fit a Vauxhall Zaf Tourer) from EuroCarParts.

As often happens, ECP had a choice of aftermarket manufacturers to choose from. I went with the most expensive, an Airtex brand at £85.
When I collected the pump the one I've been handed is a Schaeffler INA pump.

The Schaeffler pump wasn't an option on the ECP's website.

I understand that manufacturers often have multiple sub-brands but I can't find a relationship between Schaeffler and Airtex.
I'm also not sure which is considered the better quality, so I don't know if ECP are pulling a fast one (and I need to hold out for the Airtex brand I ordered) or I've actually gotten the better end of the deal?

Anyone able to shed any light on this or offer 1st hand experience?

Thanks in advance!

I don't really know much about Airtex but I certainly wouldn't be unhappy with a Schaeffler either way - they've a great reputation in the engineering world for their bearings and seals.

I always thought Airtex were a quality product but they seem to get mixed reviews these days.
If ECP sell them they are probably junk now.
INA stuff is very good.

I’d happily take the ina over the Airtek pump.

Not sure that really holds. ECP sell some very good stuff... they just also sell some complete junk.
