Hi if anyone could help I would be very happy!
My sons car has been a pain! It’s old but he is just starting out. I have replaced the throttle body, throttle cable, ht lead’s, spark plugs, electronic distributor, battery, and it’s is better but still playing up. It has a thatchams alarm I have Checked all the fuses and still no joy it will start and run with the rev Counter running and will act fine I’ll drive at 70 miles an hour and when I come to a roundabout the oil light will come on and it will try to stall this is a massive improvement on what it was but still causing me issues sometimes when it starts the rev counter won’t work but other times the rev counter will. when the rev counter doesn’t work the engine is very lumpy and will stall and stop all the time anyone got any ideas I will be very grateful it also has had a new camshaft sensor the alternator power seems fine when tested .

Not sure what to advise, but I had a whole bunch of gremlins similar and the ignition switch was the culprit

I noticed this when I used the spare key ( less weight swinging:about)
