I've just changed the air-con condensor on a 2016 Movano and had to remove the intercooler to do so, the fluid that came out of it was green but the coolant for the van is red?
Does it have a separate fluid system and if so how do I top it back up, nothing in the maual?
Thanks

If it has an air/water/air style intercooler it will almost certainly be separate from the engine cooling system. I don't see any particular reason for it to use a different type of coolant but perhaps they want something with better low temperature behaviour or something like that. I expect the owner's manual would tell you what to top it up with.

I thought Renault coolant was green/yellow? (Movano is a rebadged Master).

Has someone topped it off with incorrect stuff?

TLDR - I suspect you are looking at AC leak detection fluid that has either leaked out of the faulty condenser onto the chargecooler, or there are refrigerant pipes next to the chargecooler that you have undone and emptied AC leak detection fluid out of. It glows under UV, if you want to check.

Tired lengthy version follows...

OP, out of curiosity I googled what the movano intercooler looks like... I haven't yet found an air-water one.

Are you sure it's not air cooled?

Which leads to the next question... Where exactly did you drain the fluid from? Leak detector fluid from an AC system can be green and (unlike refrigerant) is liquid at room temperature. Given you removed the condenser, have you had a leak test done on it before? If you really want to be sure, see if it glows under UV light.

Sorry been away a while, the fluid came from when I removed the hoses from what is marked 22 above, it was about 2-3 litres of green?
Looking at that diagram I am presuming that it is a sealed air system?

Correct, there should be no fluid in there, hence my original post above.
