Good Morning

I'm Hoping someone may be able to help with this .....

A few weeks ago after driving to the shop my car wouldn't start, after an hour it started and I drove home in nipping into the house to get something and back out it wouldn't start again (nothing not turning) Spark plugs, cam sensor & cam sensor were changed and it appeared all ok.

Fast forward a few weeks & now at intermittent periods it wont start it will either
a) attempt to start, makes the trying to start noise then the engine kicks in
OR
b) Tries to start and fails then in starting again it starts 2nd time no problem

This happens at intermittent periods for example I may be at work for 8 hours comes out and either a) or b) happens

In checking it on a ramp leaving it running etc there is nothing visible as the issue

Any advice, experience or fixes would me much appreciated.

Really struggling to work out from your description whether the problem is the engine isn't cranking over or it's cranking over but not firing.

None of the things you mention changing have anything whatsoever to do with cranking the engine over and would not help with that in the slightest.

For A is the engine turning over (cranking)
For B is the engine turning over with no change in sound?

Your answer hasn't clarified anything. I still have no idea whether the problem is the engine isn't cranking over or is cranking over but not firing. Do you understand what these terms mean?

It intermittently cranks, struggles and fires
Or
Cranks and not fires & fails - then upon second attempt starts straight away

If it struggles to crank the engine over, then cranks it over easily a few seconds later, you have a bad connection somewhere. The solenoid would be a good place to start looking. A volt meter to see what voltage the solenoid and starter windings are receiving would give you a good idea where the problem is.
