Clutch Brands: choice of Nationwide or Sachs
Discussion
Anyone got any thoughts on Nationwide vs Sachs brand Solid Flywheel conversion & Clutch Kit?
I've never heard of "Nationwide", prior, unless you count the well known Building Society. A re-branded something?
My budget doesn't stretch to LUK, which at £270 is more than double these two, on car valued south of a a Grand.
Nationwide £105, Sachs £125. I'll be doing the fitting myself.
(car is 2004 Focus TDCi, with the 1.8F9DA lump and MTX75 Gearbox)
Would be lovely if I could find a scrapper that can be run up to temperature to test before dropping the lump, anyone got one?

Is eBay safe to trust with clutches these days?
I read some reports regarding a certain seller on there a while ago but they always seem to have reasonably priced packages available and all quality brands.
You don't need to trust ebay, you are (generally for car parts) buying from retailers that advertise on the platform and better still, you have the chance to see feedback. Not a luxury you have when purchasing from many other places, except (of course) word of mouth.
If a "certain seller" has bad feedback, buy from another, there will be many others selling the item normally.
