R53 Mini Cooper S. The car has two spots wired into the main beam circuit. The nearside one has stopped working, the other is fine & main beam works as it should. They're Wipac units I fitted to the car two years ago. I've changed the bulb, checked the earths, checked the fuse relay/general fuses & earthing points in the bay. All good.

At a slight loss as to why one works & one doesn't. Can't see any obvious cable breaks, tracing the wires as far as the bulkhead. If it comes to it, will pull trim off inside to follow the wiring further but hoping to draw on the wisdom here for suggestions or anything obvious I've over looked?

Not been round with the multimeter, that's next if I can remember where I left it!

Multimeter.
Connect the meter earth to a good clean area - I have a couple of long wires with small crocodile clips at each end so I can connect the meter earth to the car's battery, a hangover from my Scimitar owning days! - & check back from the defective light live feed until you find the issue.

As I have also posted on MT, first things first, get the multimeter out rather than wasting any more time chasing invisible volts without a multimeter.

If volts were visible, it would be easy eh? As above, looking for anything obvious ahead of digging out the multimeter. Thanks anyway.
