Same way you would get standard wd40 into the hinge.

does the door stay open on the "notches" on an incline or whatever or is it free to move?
If not It'll be the check link arm failing.
The arm is usually a forged core with an overmould with dimples in it. The arm itself will be attached to the slam area between the hinges. In the door there's a little block that essentially contains two sprung plungers that pinch the arm. As the dimples go past the sprung plungers it holds the door in the desired positions and it stays there until moved.
Usually there are three positions.
If the door is slow and or hard to close then either the ploastic over mould has worn away and binding bit or the sprung pins have worn flat and not gliding. Try a smear of grease on the arm that goes in and out of the door.
(There are a few systems that are "any position hold" but they're very expensive and I don't think they've made it onto any Audi's yet but I maybe mistaken, possibly a Q7, A8 or etron)
