Hello, I'm after some recommendations please from people who've used thread chasing/cleaning tools.

I'm looking for a thread file and thread chasing taps. I was looking at set by Lang tools, but the reviews are very mixed.

I wonder what you've used with success for cleaning up caught threads? Thanks,

Presto or Dormer brand taps. you'd really only need a plug tap to clean threads, but its sometimes easier to buy the set of 3. Look on Zoro tools website

Not after a tap. After thread chasers and a thread file, but thanks.

I have a set very similar to this (see link below) and it's brilliant. I am in the US and mine is a Craftsman brand but looks basically the same as this. I am sure there are different sellers of this kit, and in the UK too.
It's got me out of trouble many times.

Lang Tools, I think I bought a small kit from them too and I was happy with the quality.

The most common fked threads I dealt with were cross threaded spark plugs, often on alloy heads.
I used this, the idea being that the threads at the bottom of the spark plug hole are fine, so cover in grease to catch any filings, drop tool into the hole, expand and unscrew it to clean out the threads at the top.
