Rear Door Won’t a Open From Inside

Anyone know why the the rear doors on a Hyundai i20 won’t open from the inside even though the child locks are set to the off position?

I know that sounds flippant, but have you tried the switches in the other position?

In that case it is likely that the mechanism that makes the selection inside the door isn't doing its job.

The blue clip has probably broken , or the mechanism needs changing
