My current one has a problem, the crimped end has lost it's grip on the rubber and now leaks.
Recommendations please for a replacement, cheap & cheerful but reasonably accurate and long lasting. The current one has only survived about 30 years (maybe a bit more).

Most of the stuff from the likes of sealey or laser will do if it’s not something that’s used every day.

Halfords used to sell them, may still do.

Is the crimped fitting integral to the unit? I suspect you may fnd it's a spigot with a separate crimped sleeve. In that case, you could just cut off the old fitting and replace it. It's only taking relatively low pressure so not going to need anything special.

Interesting? I'll have a look, cut it and refit with a decent jubilee clip maybe?

Yes, hopefully straight forward.

BTW I suspect you'll find the root cause is a perished rubber hose, so be prepared to replace that too.

Correct on all counts...
Chopped off, re inserted, jubilee clip, all fixed (hopefully).
