As per the title, can anyone tell me what this is called (from a caravan light)

Looks to me like it might be a cigarette lighter socket and connector.
Have you tried it in a normal cigarette lighter socket?

AKA DIN/ISO 4165 or Hella connector.

I had a Skoda Rapid cabrio (mm, classy) and its accessory socket was one of these smile

My 1200 BMW had two of those sockets. One though the ignition and the other not.
.
Ignition live was for heated gloves, socks or satnav etc, and the other took a battery charger.
