If you have (or know someone who has) as Costco membership, then the slightly stronger 'blue' Prestone is £10 at Costco.

If you, or someone you know, can access TPS this stuff is good: https://tps.trade/premium-screenwash-concentrate-z...

I bought a ton of it a few years ago when it was on offer for something daft like £3.50 - still got several containers of it.

They do a few different versions, some ready diluted, so make sure you get the concentrated -30C stuff.

The trouble is with a concentrate, is that when you increase the concentration as the season changes, you are then both increasing the wash component as well as the anti-freeze component, and vice versa. So in winter, to meet the anti-freeze level needed, the wash component ends up streaking. That is what I found with Prestone.
The BMW idea of a anti-freeze washer fluid, that you can vary according season, and a separate washing component that you can also vary according to your preference is better in my opinion.

Never having had a BMW, how does that work - are there separate reservoirs in the car, or you mix wash and antifreeze yourself?

I used that in the Xceed and it congealed badly. It was a bugger to clear but now zero issues with Prestone.

Well, whatever. I don't support blatant capitalism.

There is a washer liquid (they used to be in a 50ml bottle, but now are in a tablet form), and top up with water, using an anti-freeze concentrate diluted according to the outside temperature.

That is all very well & good, alas if the OP's car isn't a late model beemer where they did this, then this is of no use to man-nor-beast. wink
