Effective petrol injector / system cleaner?

I've never been convinced by these but I have an old car that's had little use over the past few years and whilst it runs, it's a little bit hesitant on light throttle. Probably clutching at straws here but I'm considering some sort of additive, half a tank of V-Power and a decent thrash to try and give it a good clear out.

Any stand out products to use?

The last product I used was something called Techron, which seems to get good reviews.

That said, the last time I had a little used car that became a bit hesitant, I gave the throttle body and MAF sensor a clean and it ran like new after that.
